Total Project Cost: $14,000,000
Project Schedule: 18-month Construction Schedule
The Nottingham•Spirk Innovation Center is one of MCM’s premier accomplishments. The Historic Adaptive Re-use of a former Christ Scientist church into the corporate headquarters for a team of highly creative, local inventors is not your typical commercial construction project.
Sitting atop a prominent hill, overlooking Cleveland’s famed Little Italy, this project brought-forth the idea of marrying the craftsmanship of yesteryear with state-of-the-art construction technology available today.
Through the utilization of new lighting, computer designed technology elements, new infrastructure, and code upgrades, the once-neglected building was transformed back to its
original splendor. From the seamless construction of a 10,000 sf addition, to the complete restoration of the magnificent Pipe organ, uniquely talented craftsmen worked day and night
to complete this one-of-a-kind project.
Although the guidelines of restoring a historical landmark are challenging, our project management team ensured that this project was completed to the expectations of a twenty-first century business, while adhering to the requirements of the Federal Historic Tax Credit program as well as the guidelines for a Conservation Easement.
