Menlo Park Academy is “Ohio’s only tuition‐free K‐8 community school focused solely on serving the needs of gifted learners, educating the whole child and offering flexible options for modern families.”
Due to the increase in enrollment, their previous facility on Triskett Rd. was too small. The former Joseph & Feiss property, suggested by a Menlo Park parent, was acquired. Once renovated it created a great opportunity to increase enrollment and provide a campus‐like setting to its students and families. One of the many benefits is the capability to serve more gifted children in low‐income communities.
Menlo purchased the historic property in March of 2015 and MCM was hired as Owner’s Representative in early 2016. Along with the design-build team, Geis Construction and GLSD Architects, MCM successfully completed the complicated project utilizing Federal, State and New Market Tax Credits on-time and under budget.
